Greetings Pat and Gerry and congratulations on your major accomplishment, 50 Years !
Pat and I call Northwest Wisconsin home now as you know from years of Christmas Cards. It was in our early married life when we had the privilege of having you as our friends and neighbors, remembering those years brought a lot of good memories!
We moved into a double bungalow on Firwood Way in Fridley in the 70’s right across the street from your walkout rambler. The bungalow was owned by Lillian and Clarence Fisher. (Clarence just passed away about three years ago!) Directly South of us was another bungalow owned by Larry and Kathy Miller. Ironically they now live about 30 minutes away from us in WI.
Similar to your family structure, with two sons (Greg and Tim) we also had two boys (Aaron and Adam) although a few years younger in age. Tim and Aaron were close and played together at both houses and in the park down the street.
We also remembered weekend entertainment Downtown Minneapolis Gerry always new the Hot Spots probably from his experience with D&B and working Downtown. Ali Pigali (at the Radisson) for cocktails and the top of the new Sheraton Ritz for dancing are fond memories.

You went out of town for a long weekend and asked us to keep an eye on your house (which we could see by looking directly our our front window). As good neighbors and friends we were happy to be able to do this for you. Unfortunately when you returned you found that vandals had broken in the back of the house and they sure did make a mess of the place. We were so upset that from what we could see, from across the street, nothing appeared to be amiss!
Shortly after that you were leaving Minnesota to a foreign country i.e. Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. We managed to visit you there the following summer. (Back in the days when you didn’t even need a passport.) enjoying the wonderful Taylor hospitality.
Then came years of Christmas letters to tie the past to the present. Thank you for the yearly glimpse into the lives of your family.
We wish you good health, great memories and hope you both have a wonderful time at your very special Anniversary event. Enjoy your family and friends on this wonderful day and know we will be with you in spirit lifting a glass in honor of our friends Pat & Gerry.
