Laughter and adventure always come to mind when I think
of Aunt Pat and Uncle Gerry.
As a kid I remember chasing Dominic through the north end
and Terrace Park when these crazy relatives visited Sioux Falls. Then we visited the Taylor clan in New
Jersey and had a real adventure.
Uncle Gerry grilled out, we played street hockey with the neighborhood
kids and all of us frolicked at the beach. Oh, and Tim and I got stuck in a
revolving door in the World Trade Center while Grandma Ruth prayed the rosary.
That always makes a good story.
As an adult they have always been there to offer support
and encouragement. They shared
hints about making friends in new places (which they are exceptionally good
at), cooking/ grilling and entertaining.
Recently they came to visit our home in Rapid City and we had a
wonderful time. We are always
happy to see them and admire the love they have for each other and life.
